Thanks to a sustainable food movement, our cabinets are always full. And Leigh and Rachel are like Italian grandmothers always wanting people to eat! eat! We like to share meals, especially with the people around us who need them. So we donate our pasta surplus to Community Servings, right here in Jamaica Plain, who uses it to help supply 750 free, nutritious meals a day to people living with a life-threatening illness. It is the most wholesome delivery we make each week!
In addition, we provide pasta for a number of local charity meals. In fact, the first order we filled (at cost!) on our new machine was for 400 lbs. of ravioli to be served at the Brookline Public Schools in honor of Climate Week. Each year, we also contribute pasta to the Sustainable Business Network’s All-Local Dinner.
